Paris

Hi folks, we've been in Paris for 3 days but have had variable wifi access. Our choice of cafes is based on wifi access rather tha food, sad, but the food has been outstanding everywhere we've been. arrived on the Eurostar and had a quick Metro trip from the Gard du Nord to our apartment in Lamarack, Montmartre, a perfect location away from all the tourists. we dined at Au Relais, which we returned to the next nite as we enjoyed it so much, great village atmoshere. all the young Parisien parents tske their children out at nite as its light until 10pm. sacre coeur is 2 mins away, we went there this am and walked throuGh while a Sunday mass was in action. The ceiling didn't crash on John!!!!

yesterday after the standard French breakfast of juice, coffee and pastry, we took the Metro to Concorde where we walked along Seine towards the Eiffel. shopped at Printemps dept store, then Metroed to Pompodou gallery which was ok :(.

here's James to tell you what we did today:

We had a late start this morning as we didn't want to have to walk all through out the day. First we walked about 100 steps to a catholic church called the sacracur where we were attacked by beggars and people selling small goods. The church it's self was interesting because of the stain glass windows and the paintings. We then head into the city were we hired bikes and road around a park, guided by a useless map that directs you nowhere. With feet hurting we were in search of wi-fi so we went in search of the nearest Starbucks. Catching two metros (trains) to a Starbucks with a broken wifi we decided to call it a day and go back to the hotel. I am now sitting here full after a lovely dinner writing this blog awaiting my French desert....

tomorrow early start on the TGV to Nice - 5 hr trip. we're now not going onto Itsly. shame, but we've had to cut our trip short and spend more time in UK with business.
